Problem with Politics
Darkness faded across the forest of Elywnn as a meeting took place. One man covered by a dark cloak spoke to the second man who stood with him in the midst of the trees, the second man was a guard, shivering in his cold armour "Is everything in place" the guard nodded "O'Massi will be coming into town tomorrow, the guards you paid off will jump him before anyone knows what just happened" the cloaked man smirked "Good..." as the cloaked man turned around the guard put his hand on his shoulder "I would like the gold you promised" the cloaked man nodded and put his left hand on a pouch on his belt, blue burning eyes appearing from under his hood as his hand moved to a small knife, he quickly pulled it out and spun around, thrusting the knife up, into the gap between the guards helmet and armor, hitting him in the chin and skewering his head, he fell down, the knife still in place "Sorry...friend, but I can't have you do your job right" the man walked away, leaving the corpse to bleed on the floor his voice echoing "If all goes well...I'll have Azeroth's own heroes turning against them".

This event/quest/thing/object/pie is an attempt to both involve the Cult of the Forgotten into your pettiful...err great existance. It will involve fighting, corruption and a side of Jack
Your objective is simple, be in Elywnn and defend O'Massi a politican against Jack's hired goons and even Jack himself (with more goons!). Don't worry about death, at least not until Jack extends his...offer. More details to come eventully

Re: Problem with Politics
I like the idea, and I'm very willing to make this happen with Pein's permission.
Give me some extra details on everything I would need to know for this event and we'll when it might happen.
But consider your idea approved by the Event Master.

Re: Problem with Politics
Well O'Massi is going to Westfall (If you want explained reasons I guess to make sure they don't think Stormwind has forgotten about them...or at least lie about it) thinks hit the fan (poor fan) when most of his men turn out to be on a Jack's payroll. So one of his loyal men manage to run off to a nearby town (Goldshire I think would be the best place) and ask for help from whoever is there. After saving O'Massi from the inital assault he'll hire players to become his temporary bodyguards, so you now get to escort him the rest of the way (Oh joy ) Jack will throw more useless goons at you (If you want to get technical they can range from Hired Goon to Rogue Guard ect ect). Eventully O'Massi and the party are stopped by Jack and some backup (in the form of the Event's boss...which can be anything you want it to be, a bunny rabbit, hogger or some type of slightly larger hired goon, I'll think of somthing soon) and then offers a choice that'll spilt the players into two teams (Jack's side and O'Massi's side) Jack's side will be fighting the newly arrived guards and O'Massi's side will work on trying to get him past Jack's minion.
As for how it works, it can either be the whole complicated rolling number process
Or because of the great number of enemies I invision...if thats a word...it to have, I think we could allow the players to attack the guards without waiting to see if it hits or not, as long as they realise it wont always hit and they can't always dodge, the enemy won't just take it. or somthing like that

Seems good to me. Get Pein's permission for this and we'll see when it can happen.

Re: Problem with Politics
Well, I suggest this event to be RPPVE, Which means simply: Jack's goons are NPCs in a enemy faction and the players who protects O'massi, Is friendly with all but not jack nor the goons.
Though this is just my suggestion which I think would suite more then Roll Fight since Roll fights take such an long time, I'm willing to make NPCs for this event and arrange it, You got my approvement.

Re: Problem with Politics
The only problem I can see with having it RPPVE is that different people use differently leveled gear, and if you make the NPCs really weak, then it would be too easy, I'd think... Up to you guys though I guess, since I don't really have any responsibility for that kinda stuff

Re: Problem with Politics
Agreed with ssaris on that
Actual PvE will either require the player to use OP looking PvE gear or it will require the NPCs to be very low level.
The PvE is in my opinion not a very good idea, as it will bring a lot more trouble than with the rolling or trust combat.
But that's just my opinion.

Re: Problem with Politics
now, Just to say.. If we're changing it to RPPVE then I might be able to make a npc which gives players more stats more Life for example and more damage, and the npcs can be alot stronger... Remember, Teamwork is the key..
